Privacy Policy — Pond Pro Advisor
Last updated: May 19, 2026
Pond Pro ("we", "us", or "our") is a DIY pond management app. This policy explains what information we collect, how it is used, and the choices you have. We do not require you to create an account, and the majority of your data never leaves your device.
Information We Collect
Photos you submit for AI analysis
When you use the identification feature, the image you select is sent to our secure server for AI processing. Images are used only to generate your result and are not stored or retained on our servers after the analysis is complete.
Water quality parameters
Numeric values you enter (pH, temperature, etc.) are sent to our server solely to produce AI-generated advice. They are not stored remotely.
Pond profile, journal, and fish data
Most profile information, fish records, and identification history are stored locally on your device only using your device's secure storage. If you have granted notification permission, we also sync your pond profile details and journal entries (water test results, observations, and care notes) to our servers so we can provide relevant, personalised pond management support. Fish photo assets are never uploaded.
Subscription and purchase data
Subscription purchases are processed by Apple (App Store) or Google (Play Store) and managed by RevenueCat. RevenueCat assigns you an anonymous identifier to validate your subscription status. We do not collect your payment card information. See RevenueCat's privacy policy at revenuecat.com/privacy.
IP address (server logs)
When you use AI features, your device's IP address is logged temporarily to enforce daily usage limits and prevent abuse. These logs are not linked to any personal identity and are routinely purged.
Push notification token and device data
If you grant notification permission, we store the following on our servers to enable push notifications:
This data is used exclusively to send you pond care tips, seasonal reminders, and important app updates. You can withdraw notification permission at any time in your device's Settings, which stops future notifications. To request deletion of your stored token data, contact us at the address below.

Data Retention and Deletion
Most of your data is stored only on your device and can be deleted at any time by uninstalling Pond Pro. Uninstalling removes all locally stored pond data from your device.
Server-side IP logs are purged daily as part of our rate-limiting reset cycle.
Server-side push notification data (token, device ID, pond profile snapshot, and synced journal entries) is retained for as long as you have the app installed and notification permission granted. To request deletion of this data, contact us at the address below and we will remove it within 30 days.
Children's Privacy
Pond Pro is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us so we can delete it.
Your Rights
Depending on your location, you may have rights regarding your personal data, including the right to access, correct, or delete it. Most of your data can be deleted directly by uninstalling the app. For server-side data (push notification tokens and temporary IP logs), submit a request to the contact address below.
GDPR & CCPA Rights
European users (GDPR)
If you are located in the European Economic Area (EEA) or United Kingdom, you have the right to access, correct, delete, or restrict processing of your personal data, as well as the right to data portability. You can exercise most rights directly within the app or by uninstalling it. For server-side data (push token, device ID, pond profile snapshot, and IP logs), submit a request to the contact address below and we will respond within 30 days.
California users (CCPA / CPRA)
California residents have the right to know what personal information we collect, to request deletion of that information, to opt out of its sale (we do not sell personal information), and to non-discriminatory treatment for exercising these rights. To submit a verifiable consumer request, contact us at the address below. We will respond within 45 days as required by law.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top. Continued use of Pond Pro after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
